The Alphabet and diacritics |
If you are reading this list of alphabet for the first time you will notice
that some of the alphabet letters are the same except some have dots above or
under\beneath.
After mastering the pronunciation of each letter you need to practice
writing them and you can even find examples and exercises on the internet or in
Pinterest:

This is a simple example; you can see how the letter is written and
practice it beneath.
Quizlet will be a big help for you as well, and soon I will include the
letters and their pronunciation and I will put the link in this blog.
In addition to the letters and
sounds that we have in Arabic we have 14 symbols that we add to the letters
either above or under\beneath, and it changes the way we pronounce it and we
call them in arabic either Tachekil or Harakat in English they are called
Diacritics and when you are a beginner you need them to make correct sounds and
read the words or texts correctly, when you are advanced then you can stop
using them.
But first let’s learn the simple Harakat or Tahchekil I’m including here a
picture from pinterest that explain the Harakat:

Basically you do the same with every letter for example if you have ت = T
T+FATHA = TA
T+DAMMA= TU
T+KASERAH = TI
T+SUKUN= T
T+SHADDAH=TT and you stress on the letter when you pronounce it.
This all for today if you have a question or a comment please leave it in
the section bellow and thank you so much.**
